About

I am a forward-thinking educator and leader, passionate about building strong relationships and nurturing student-centred learning environments. Over the years, my journey in international education has taken me around the world—currently, I serve as Middle School Deputy Principal at the International Community School of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, after teaching and leadership roles in Japan, China, the UAE, England, and Canada.

No matter my position, I view my core responsibility as creating a positive and collaborative culture where all learners thrive. I am deeply committed to inclusive, data-informed decision-making and instructional coaching, regularly seeking feedback and reflecting on my practice to ensure continuous growth. My leadership experience includes developing new instructional models, leading accreditations, building capacity among fellow educators, and designing programs that enhance both creativity and well-being in students.

Beyond my school roles, I’ve contributed to international education networks through curriculum reviews, presenting at conferences, and supporting professional learning for teachers. Staying organized, creative, and goal-oriented, I thrive on helping schools and teams reach their full potential, always guided by a belief in the power of relationships and a growth-focused mindset.

As I continue my own learning journey, I am beginning an Executive MBA program to further develop my skills and set new career goals in educational leadership. Over the next two years I will be using this blog as a platform to reflect on this learning experience and how it is impacting my practice.
